Okay, I’ve
never been to California. But these addresses, from my
research appear to be real places in and around Los
Angeles. Some were pretty easy to pinpoint. Some were much,
much harder. I’m especially proud of triangulating the
address with the partial visual and finding Guy Mayer’s

• Sunset Ballroom on Sunset Blvd. is seen in the background
as Starsky and Hutch chase Nick Hunter on foot. It is the
site of Orrin Tucker’s Orchestra, seen on the marquee, a
big band that endured its original era and continued on
into the 1990’s. In 1975, Tucker took over a ballroom on
Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard and named it the Sunset
Ballroom. Tucker’s orchestra performed there five nights a
