CONTINUITY ERRORS C

• 101. The long shot of Starsky’s tag on tux show it hanging on a string about two inches from collar. The short shot of Hutch getting ready to rip it off shows it snug under the collar with no string. (Photo Finish)

• 102. Starsky tells Hutch he called Emily’s roommate. How did he know Sharon and Emily were close, and how did he get her number? (Blindfold)

• 103. Starsky asks Marcie for the film of the shooting less than a minute after the incident. She pulls several out of her bra and hands it over. No way did she get the film out of the camera that fast, and Starsky ought to know that fact. (Photo Finish)

• 104. Pinky’s briefcase of diamonds is carried upright, but when he shows the display to Huggy, the jewels are all neatly laid out. (Blindfold)

• 105. There is blood on Hutch’s chest in first shot, not in second, and then it reappears in the third shot. (Black and Blue)

• 106. Doris Huntley is wearing same tan blouse and gold necklace at the poker game as she is wearing in the photo Luke shows Starsky and Hutch.. (Birds of a Feather)

• 107. Hutch gets his clothes out of what is supposed to be a closet at the hospital, but looks to be a lit hallway. (Black and Blue)

• 108. The inside sign on Brooklyn Bagel door says “closed,” but so does the other side. (Huggy Can’t Go Home )

• 109. Dolphin orders gumbo and a big red pop, but the last sale on the register is only $1.00. Either he didn’t pay, or this is a really great deal. (Huggy Can’t Go Home )

• 110. You can clearly see the charges imbedded in blue car that gets shot at in garage; the bullets hit exactly at each puttied over spot. This is a fun scene to watch backwards and slow. (Targets Without a Badge 2)

• 111. The timing is either a continuity error, or Starsky gives Dobey incorrect information. The meet between Jack and Allen was to be at 2:30 as per the appointment book, though Jack calls Allen and moves it up to 2:00. Starsky, however, tells Dobey this time is 3:00. Later, Hutch asks Starsky the time and Hutch responds it is 2:20. They pass Michelle on her way out and then discover the body, yet Starsky tells Dobey Jack was killed at 2:30, not closer to 2:15. No one seems to quibble with 12:00 noon as being the time Allen was burned. (Class in Crime)

• 112. The strap to binoculars is hanging over eyepiece when Starsky uses them, but isn’t seen in his view. (Jojo)

• 113. The time on bomb in trunk when Morton and Sloan make their robbery get-away is 1:37, which doesn’t fit with any other of the times. (Savage Sunday)

• 114. Despite a complete drenching in the pool, Starsky’s clothes are completely dry a short time later at the Panama Club. (Death Notice)

• 115. At one point it is mentioned there are six strippers working at the Panama Club, and at another point this number is five strippers. The number doesn’t change because of the murders, either, as that would be a difference of two not one. (Death Notice)

• 116. Hutch tells Starsky that Henderson is “two blocks ahead, on the left.” While it is a two-way street for most of this scene, it changes to a one-way street in the last shot. Therefore, Henderson would be on the right side. (Pilot)

• 117. Joey Webster walks to the hotel window and pulls the shade down. As he walks back to the bed, the shade is up. (Starsky vs. Hutch)

• 118. Dobey says Tramaine is twenty-two years old, but his rap sheet says he is thirty-six years old. (Pariah)

• 119. The timing for the Tinker shooting doesn’t work: Starsky and Hutch drive to Craig’s house after the inquest where the gathering has already started. Dobey says Prudholm shoots Tinker twenty minutes after the Coroner’s Inquest ended. (Pariah)

• 120. Starsky and Hutch tell Dobey Prudholm did “fifteen years hard time,” but the date of arrest on his rap sheet is 1967, which would have to make the current year 1982 or so. (Pariah)

• 121. Rafferty and O’Brien are supposed to be out of their district, but the address in the alley they are arrested in (419 S. Wall) is in the heart of their area. (Bait)

• 122. The young black cop that arrests Starsky and Hutch in the ally, supposedly out of their precinct, is the same cop in the hallway with Shockley and Goring. (Bait)

• 123. Starsky makes it a point to ask for Maggie McMillan’s phone number for the report, but he doesn’t follow through in getting it from her. (Deadly Imposter)

• 124. When Starsky and Hutch call Matt Coyle on the phone, the number is on the front page. Starsky points out to Skinny Momo his number is written “on the big fat front page.” Yet, at the scene of the shooting, Mike’s black book has Matt Coyle’s phone number on last page. (Iron Mike)

• 125. A red pulsing light, presumably from an exterior sign, is show on Joey Webster as he stands by the window. There is no light on the outside of the hotel. (Starsky vs. Hutch)

• 126. It is late at night when Starsky and Hutch go to eat supper, yet Officer Hagen brings them the Champagne Brunch menu. (Specialist)

• 127. The time on Starsky’s watch goes from 11:15 to 11:10 in the scene when he takes Prudholm down in the warehouse. (Starsky’s Lady)

• 128. The address of Paradise Massage is 740 (or 704, if you believe Sharon Freemont) Vinewood, but the address on Klemp’s, next door, is 333. (Starsky and Hutch Are Guilty)

• 130. Mr. Atkins is wrong about how long the fake Starsky and Hutch were in with Oscar Newton. It is, in actuality, only 35 seconds. (Starsky and Hutch Are Guilty)

• 131. It is 9:00 pm and dark outside. The window Hutch looks out of for his bit-part line shows the street in broad daylight. (Murder on Stage 17)

• 132. Starsky tells the nurse Hutch’s surgery was this morning when it was yesterday, and quite possibly two days ago. (Black and Blue)

• 133. Colonel Sonny’s uniform stripes are that of a corporal. (Survival)

• 134. It is either a continuity error or Dobey is getting a Bay City Discount on the price of sugar: The warehouse man sells Dobey 25 fifty pound sacks of sugar. He says, “…at 67 cents the total comes to “$727.50.” If the man is selling Dobey sugar for .67 a pound, the total would be $837.50. Dobey appears to get a 13% on the price. That’s a lotta coladas, Dobey. (Moonshine)

• 135. Starsky has the guitar case firmly in his arms, next scene it is gone, next scene it is there again with no real way to have had it disappear. (Moonshine)

• 136. Starsky’s third apartment is inconsistent with stairs. Hutch takes a photo of Ginger looking down and it sounds as though Hutch falls down them while blindfolded. The viewer also sees a set of stairs leading up to the front door in numerous episodes. Yet stairs aren’t seen when Hutch comes to see Starsky about Catlin the Weirdness. And there are no stairs visible when Nick and Starsky head out the door to the disco. (Committee, Blindfold, Class in Crime, Starsky’s Brother)

• 137. The palm trees turn to oak trees along the side of the road in the next shot as Starsky and Hutch follow Willits up the hill. (Committee)

• 138. It is supposed to be evening when Starsky, Hutch and Luke show up at Luke’s house to see Doris. The scene was clearly filmed in broad daylight with a blue filter. The background noise of the crickets don’t help this poor filming along. (Birds of a Feather)

• 139. Hutch is shown pinned against his car, and in the next scene on top and shooting. There was neither the space nor the time to get up on the car like he did. (Game)

• 140. The camera zooms in on the exterior of the hospital, to a room on the fourth floor, yet Starsky’s room number is #116. (Game)

• 141. The Disease Control Center is in Georgia, not Alabama. (Plague)

• 142. Double Golden Eagles ($20) were minted between 1907-1933. There is no such thing as an 1856 Golden Eagle. (Huggy Bear and the Turkey)

• 143. There are lighting continuity errors regarding the time of day. (Targets Without a Badge 2)

• 144. The bullet holes in Harry’s suitcase do not match up where the gun barrel was. (Ballad for a Blue Lady)

• 145. Allison May moved next door to the Starsky’s when she was six years old and was there for five years before going into the Witness Protection Program. This would make that range of years from 1953-1958. One would have to assume Starsky moved to California right after she disappeared, making it twenty-one years ago, to even come close to matching his comment about Uncle Elmo’s Toy Store being gone for twenty-one years. Even then, it would have closed up the same year he arrived, making his fond memories a little odd. Why, also, was he unaware it closed? Perhaps another move? (Targets Without a Badge 2, Crying Child, Nightmare)

• 146. The Randall-Boyd Security System shoots, says Mr. Thistleman, one frame every thirty seconds. But he goes on to say this is one hundred twenty to one hundred thirty frames an hour. It would be exactly one hundred twenty frames an hour. The extra ten frames he mentions would add an extra five minutes to each hour, a margin of error it cannott afford. (Set-Up)

• 147. It is called White Airport on the sign. Starsky and Hutch refer to it numerous times as White Airfield. (Captain Dobey, You’re Dead)

• 148. While at White Airfield, Starsky says it is early Sunday morning, but his watch reads 11:40. (Captain Dobey, You’re Dead)

• 149. Starsky calls for an ambulance for Ted Banks. He gives the street address but not the apartment number. (Terror on the Docks)

• 150. Starsky easily brings the stew pot to the counter with bare hands. Nancy gingerly has to use two potholders to bring it to the table. (Terror on the Docks)
